Magnetic or clamp car mount — which holds better?

A clamp grips the phone mechanically, so it is the safer choice on rough roads and with heavy phones. A magnetic mount is faster — you place the phone one-handed — but holding force depends on the magnets: MagSafe-standard mounts hold well, while a thin metal plate under a case holds noticeably less.

Does a magnetic mount work through a case?

Through a thin case (up to roughly 2 mm) a MagSafe mount works, though the hold weakens. A thicker or rugged case pushes the magnets too far apart — in that case choose a case with magnets built in, or an adhesive metal plate.

Where in the car is the best place to mount a phone?

A vent mount is the most convenient and does not block your view, but in winter the warm air blowing through heats the phone. Mounted on the windscreen or dashboard the phone sits more steadily and closer to your line of sight — just make sure the mount does not obstruct the road.

Description

Designed for Renault 5 E-Tech Electric Evolution (2024 - )

Protection built for the car interior

3mk BladeShield is a new-generation protective film for drivers who want the cockpit display to stay flawless. A car cabin is a demanding place: the dashboard heats up in summer, chills through winter and faces sunlight all day long. BladeShield copes with both temperature swings and UV exposure, while its dedicated acrylic adhesive keeps the film from shrinking, shifting or lifting at the corners. It stays colour-neutral, so the picture looks as natural as it did on day one.

A matte surface instead of a mirror

You know the moment when the sun turns the display into a mirror and the route simply disappears. The matte BladeShield surface scatters the light coming into the cabin, keeping the navigation map and the multimedia system clearly readable in direct sunlight and from any angle. No more squinting or shading the screen with your hand — more comfortable, and safer while you drive.

Precise touch, spotless screen

The film preserves the factory touch response: input stays lightning-quick, control is smooth and gestures register even with gloves on. An oleophobic coating repels grease, so fingerprints and smears build up far more slowly.

Bubble-free installation

An innovative four-layer structure makes fitting straightforward — air bubbles disappear almost immediately after application. The laser-cut shape follows the edges of the specific display exactly, so nothing needs trimming. The set contains the protective film, an installation kit, a squeegee and fitting instructions.
