What is the difference between a silicone and a plastic case?

A silicone case is soft and flexible, and it absorbs impact well. It grips in the hand, but it collects dust and yellows over time. A hard plastic (PC) case is thin and easy to keep clean, but it does not give under impact. For most people a TPU or hybrid case is the better compromise — it combines both.

How do I choose the right case?

Choose for the way you actually use the phone: if you drop it often, take a rugged case; if you want to keep the phone slim, TPU or silicone is enough; if you want to carry cards, pick a wallet case. Above all, check that the case is made for your exact phone model.

Does a case protect against drops?

Yes, though how much depends on the type. A thin silicone case keeps scratches away and helps with low falls. Rugged cases such as UAG or Spigen Tough Armor are drop-tested from 2–3 metres and give the most protection.

Why does a clear silicone case turn yellow?

UV light and the natural oils on your skin cause it. It is normal and cannot be prevented entirely. Tip: a darker colour or a clear TPU case yellows far less visibly.

Description

Nillkin Super Frosted Shield Pro is a red protective case shaped specifically for Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max. Its hybrid construction combines a rigid polycarbonate (PC) back with softer thermoplastic-polyurethane (TPU) borders and corner bumpers.

The softer borders and reinforced corner areas help cushion everyday knocks, while the rigid back helps the case retain its shape.
A matte UV finish gives the case a finely textured surface that improves grip and makes fingerprints and dust easier to wipe away.
Precisely formed openings leave the camera, ports and connectors accessible, while covered side controls remain usable.
The case fits without specialist tools and can be removed when needed.
The case is compatible with Qi wireless charging and contactless mobile payments.

The package contains one red Nillkin Super Frosted Shield Pro case for Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max; the phone and other accessories are not included.
