What is the difference between active noise cancelling and passive isolation?

Passive isolation is just the shape of the headphone: in-ear tips or over-ear pads physically block sound. Active noise cancelling (ANC) also listens to your surroundings through microphones and generates an opposing wave, so it works best on steady drone — a plane, a bus, ventilation. ANC does very little against sudden sounds such as speech.

How long do wireless earbuds really last on one charge?

In-ear buds usually play for 4–8 hours, and the case adds another two to four full charges. Over-ear headphones last 20–40 hours. High volume, ANC and cold weather all cut into that — in winter expect roughly a fifth less.

Can I use one pair with both my phone and my computer?

Yes, if the headphones support multipoint: they stay connected to two devices at once and switch by themselves when a call starts on the computer. Without multipoint you have to disconnect one device manually every time.

Description

Make more of your evenings in front of the TV

Krüger&Matz Universe 2.1 pairs a compact soundbar with a separate subwoofer for films, series, sport and music. It gives you a straightforward way to add fuller sound without building a large home-cinema system. The arrangement suits a living room, bedroom or smaller entertainment space.

Stereo sound with a deeper foundation

Left and right speakers bring stereo playback to the soundbar, while the included passive subwoofer handles the low frequencies. Together they give dialogue, music and effects a fuller sound than the soundbar alone. Bass adds another dimension to an action scene or a favourite concert recording.

A direct audio connection to your TV

HDMI ARC lets a compatible television send its sound to the system through one HDMI connection. It is a convenient way to hear your usual programmes through the soundbar while keeping the connection to the TV straightforward. Use the television's compatible ARC connection and appropriate settings.

Your playlists, without an extra audio cable

Bluetooth lets you pair a suitable phone, tablet or laptop and play music through the system. Move from watching a programme to listening to a playlist using the device you already have. Wireless audio pairing makes the soundbar useful beyond television viewing.

Keep your other music sources in use

The USB port plays MP3 files from a suitable USB drive, and the AUX input offers a wired connection for an audio player or computer. These alternatives help you choose the source that fits your music collection. A device does not have to use Bluetooth to play through the system.

Arrange the system around your room

Place the soundbar on a TV cabinet or use its wall-mounting option to suit the room. The supplied remote lets you adjust volume and select the source or playback mode from your seat. A mains power adapter is also included, so the core controls and power supply come with the system.
