What is the difference between a silicone and a plastic case?

A silicone case is soft and flexible, and it absorbs impact well. It grips in the hand, but it collects dust and yellows over time. A hard plastic (PC) case is thin and easy to keep clean, but it does not give under impact. For most people a TPU or hybrid case is the better compromise — it combines both.

How do I choose the right case?

Choose for the way you actually use the phone: if you drop it often, take a rugged case; if you want to keep the phone slim, TPU or silicone is enough; if you want to carry cards, pick a wallet case. Above all, check that the case is made for your exact phone model.

Does a case protect against drops?

Yes, though how much depends on the type. A thin silicone case keeps scratches away and helps with low falls. Rugged cases such as UAG or Spigen Tough Armor are drop-tested from 2–3 metres and give the most protection.

Why does a clear silicone case turn yellow?

UV light and the natural oils on your skin cause it. It is normal and cannot be prevented entirely. Tip: a darker colour or a clear TPU case yellows far less visibly.

Description

Designed for Apple iPhone 14

A matt blueberry finish for every day

The 3mk Matt Case blueberry is a deep blue, blueberry-toned cover with a matt surface that stays glare-free, resists fingerprints and turns a phone into a genuinely good-looking accessory. It is moulded from thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), so it stays flexible, feels soft against the fingers and grips securely in the hand, while the rich colour keeps its depth through long everyday use.

Protection proven by testing

The case carries the Absorber125 class, awarded after independent testing showed the phone came through 26 drops from a height of 125 cm undamaged — more than the Military Grade standard asks for. The soft TPU absorbs the energy of an impact, and raised edges keep the camera lenses off the ground when the device lands screen or lens down.

Clean, hygienic and built to last

Matt Case is made for real life rather than for careful handling: rinse it under running water, put it in the washing machine or wipe it down with alcohol-based cleaners. It holds certificates from the Polish National Institute of Hygiene (PZH) and RoHS, so it is friendly to both people and the environment. It also works with induction wireless chargers, which means there is no need to take it off to charge.
